China will host the 2019 World Environment Day on June 5 in Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang province, with air pollution as the theme. As a Hangzhou-based company, Sunon is pleased and honored to observe this grand event with governments, fellow companies, civil society organizations like NGOs, and consumers.

Designed to Care

For Sunon, every piece of furniture is designed with the environment in mind by taking into consideration the environmental impacts of the materials, resources, and end-of-life scenarios at the front end of a product, making choices that reduce the impact of the product on the environment, and uncovering opportunities to make things better. For example, during the R&D phase, eco-friendly materials of the highest quality will be selected, such as waterborne painting, recycled PET felt, and PUR glue; packaging is made from recycled materials and is meant to be reused; disassembly for recycling takes about five minutes using a KD kit and a user-friendly manual, which means we can help our customer reuse or recycle the products at end of their useful life. At present, Sunon has achieved Greenguard-certified products and a China Certificate for Ecolabelling Products.

Green Processes

Sunon uses processes that eliminate waste from our facilities, manages the water well when released (See Picture 1 and Picture 2), improves energy utilization, and uses renewable forms of energy such as solar and wind power. Off-gas treatment system is used to ensure the gas emitted will not harm the environment. Waste heat recovery from an air compressor is used in product dry process &a bath center.

Especially, Sunon has made significant progress in cleaning the air and improving people’s health. We have made great efforts to reduce air pollution emissions by optimizing the factory’s operations. Abatement mechanisms that help destroy VOCs, HAPs, and other pollutants are employed before they enter the environment. What’s more important, we pay great attention to the production of CO2 footprints of our products throughout the whole process.
