Shaping Greener Future: Sunon Co-Design Workshop at Chicago Showroom

CHICAGO, June, 2025 — Sunon marked the grand opening of its new Chicago showroom with a creative, sustainability-focused activity: the Co-Design Workshop. Bringing together guests from across the design and business communities, the workshop invited participants to co-create with Sunon’s latest eco-conscious innovation, the H5 chair.

Launched globally in April, the H5 chair features a seat frame made from recycled marine plastics, underscoring Sunon’s ongoing commitment to responsible materials. Participants brought their creativity to life by adorning the finished H5 chairs with upcycled materials, transforming each into a personal expression of eco-conscious design.

“What began as a single seat now tells a story of collaboration and care for the planet,” said Cindy Shi, Managing Director of Sunon Global. “Every stitch, every décor chosen tonight reflects a truth: sustainability isn’t an imagination or a slogan, it’s the bedrock of how we innovate. When we invite the world to co-create, we’re not just designing furniture. We’re building a movement where responsibility and creativity share the same blueprint.”

The workshop was more than a creative interaction. It demonstrated how conscious selection in materials and design can turn everyday products into meaningful statements on sustainability.

At Sunon, we believe progress comes from small, thoughtful actions. By integrating sustainable thinking into design, production, and engagement, we continue moving toward a future where environmental responsibility is not an initiative, but a mindset.
