As China hosted World Environment Day 2019 in Hangzhou with a focus on air pollution, Sunon—rooted in this city—was proud to stand alongside governments, enterprises, NGOs, and consumers in supporting this global initiative. The occasion reaffirmed our long-standing commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable development.

Designed to Care

At Sunon, environmental sustainability is embedded at the very beginning of every product’s life cycle. From material selection and manufacturing to use and end-of-life, we carefully evaluate environmental impact and continuously seek better solutions. During R&D, we prioritize high-quality, eco-friendly materials such as waterborne coatings, recycled PET felt, and PUR glue. Our packaging is made from recycled materials and designed for reuse, while products can be easily disassembled within minutes using a KD kit and clear instructions, enabling efficient reuse and recycling. Today, many Sunon products are Greenguard certified and hold the China Certificate for Ecolabelling Products.

Green Processes

Sustainability also shapes how we operate. Sunon optimizes resource efficiency by reducing waste, managing water responsibly, and improving energy utilization. Renewable energy sources, including solar and wind power, are actively integrated into our facilities. Advanced off-gas treatment systems ensure emissions are safely managed, while waste heat recovery from air compressors is reused in drying processes and facility operations.

Significant efforts have been made to reduce air pollution and protect human health. By optimizing factory operations, we effectively reduce VOCs, HAPs, and other harmful emissions before they enter the environment. At the same time, we closely monitor and manage the carbon footprint of our products across their entire life cycle.
